Knot much...

Needless to say, I really don't have much to write about...I forgot my camera the other day. No pictures of the booth after a re-fluff!
Still waiting for my mom, she was supposed to be back earlier today, but was having so much fun with her old friend that she's...running late. Her dogs haven't been too bad. I think they are more than ready to go home.
It's been an interesting & busy last couple days.
I haven't had much time to play however,
my sister is going to have a scrapbooking, card making gathering next Sunday....
I haven't figured out what I'm going to take, yet.
Several of the girls want to get into scrapbooking, but don't know where to start. That's where my sister & I come in...she's the scraper & I'm the stamper...so we thought between the two of us, we could show them a thing or two. It should be fun.
Well...I'm off to take care of the gang.
Hope everyone's had a good weekend!

bags & tags

I've had a bag of material for months...grabbed the sewing machine and put together a few little bags. My husband calls them "And What Knot bags". What am I going to do with all of them? Who knows. Right now, putting little bunches of material in them. I might take a couple out to the booth to sell. They turned out really cute. Some have one handle or two.
I've sold many chalkboard frames out of my booth. I love them. So when I saw these little wooden tags at JoAnne's the other day...I had to do it. Fun little chalkboard tags!

Finally, I transferred an image I found for free, yeah free, from the Graphic's Fairy to fabric stick sheets for an ink jet printer and made myself a bag. I love how it turned out.

Hope everyone's having a wonderful Thursday. Myself...not bad...staying busy!
My mom's heading out of town for a few days, so we have her two dogs, my two, plus I groomed two this morning. We're going to the dogs in this house!!
Going to hit an estate sale in the AM, then re-fluff my booth so that it's all pretty for the weekend. I have several new things that I'm taking out. Looking forward to it. Going to the antique mall is my relax-mode time, even though I'll be working in my booth.
If I remember to take my camera, I'll share pics tomorrow. Until then.....
have a good one!

Tea-dying & dirty finds

Whew...I almost forgot to share my dirty finds from yesterday with ya.
Since it has been raining, sleeting and snowing today, I decided to tea dye fabric & tags today. My husband brought home a few tags from work...he saved them from being thrown away.
210 tags later...I started a few sewing projects. I'll share them once I'm finished with them. A brass 3 armed hanger, a lovey wooden box (a weakness), and I'm really not sure about the other thing. It's cast iron.
The cast iron thingy, a rug beater, and masher.

A metal recipe box, two more wooden boxes, a wooden and cooper spool, and a metal pulley piece.

With all the messy weather, I had a wonderful, productive day today.
The worse part, I had to go to the store to pick up a few things.
Hoping that I can make it back to the estate sale in the morning before my grooming appointment gets here & the weather permits.
Ohhh...I almost forgot...you should check out www.fionaandtwig.blogspot.com. They are having a great giveaway...."The Flea Market Style" magazine.
I'm thinking that's going to be my new favorite magazine.
Have a wonderful evening!

Estate Sale finds

FINALLY...I found a couple Estate Sales this morning. yippee!! I haven't taken a picture of my dirty finds yet. I ended up in the shed with a couple of old guys & a few mice...yikes~! One of the old guys asked why would you want to be out here? I told him ya just never know what you'll find and smiled. He just shrugged his shoulders & went on digging. I think I'll go back Saturday morning when I'm not wearing a cream colored hoodie and trying to stay clean in a shed with 1/2 inch of dirt on everything's kind of tough. I didn't want to go back home to change cloths before getting my driver's license picture taken. Loving the yellow elephant planter. I kind of have a thing for animal planters.
2 little bells, a pitcher and a platter

Purple glass 3 pc. nursery rhyme dishes...too cute.

A wonderful silver tray, fish bowl, ribbed bowl, and 2 little glasses.
Hoping that everyone's had a wonderful day...until tomorrow.

Whippet Wednesday

Westminster...a celebration of the wonderful canine spirit, reflecting our emotional attachment to our dogs!

The last two nights the pooches & I watched America's Dog Show.

A whippet won the Hound group, so we had even more excitement about Tuesday's broadcast. The Best of the Best...America's top dog! It's amazing that the Westminster Dog Show predates the invention of the light bulb, the automobile, and a wonderful little thing, the zipper. The 134th...wow!

I've experienced the excitement of showing dogs. Zeke has even earned a point to his championship. He just really didn't like being in the show ring. To show at the world's largest dog show...I can't image. It's such an emotional rush...then I looked over at Zeke. He could hardly contain himself with the excitement. Just an FYI...I didn't put the pillows over him. He was curled up with his head resting on the pillow & must have decided to stretch out.

Doc on the other hand was watching with intense anticipation.

Congrats to "Sadie" the Scottish Terrier for winning it all!

All Moved...

Before

after

a few little cuties

and more

Whew...all done for now.
I'm glad I didn't take any new things out...wouldn't have had room. I marked down several, several things, so by next month, I'll be able to get my spring stuff out. Yippee!
I'm so sick of the cold & snow.
We're supposed to get more of the white stuff on Sunday...ugh!
Tomorrow I have a couple dogs to groom. Would much rather go to an auction, but I've got to make some money so I can spend money.

Cards, Beauty, and More

I got a few Valentines mailed yesterday.
I can't seem to get the side way photo right side up...sorry about that...a couple tag cards & a little girl holding flowers.

My step-daughter has started mailing cards to a few of her friends. Ya know 'the old fashion way' to keep in touch. I was in 'aah' about that. So I including a few cards in her package, along with some candy & an elephant magnet clip that I made. She loves elephants, so when I found the stamp...had to buy it.

This is Bitty. I've known this dog most of her life. When I worked at the pet hospital, her owner would do anything for her. I've assisted in so many surgeries on this little girl, it's amazing...she's amazing! She's like a cat with nine lives. So when her momma called, because her groomer skipped town, I was honored to groom her.
She was a perfect princess! She makes me grin...I just love this dog! Isn't she a cutie!

Well, I still haven't figured out how I'm going to do the give-away. However, I've been gathering a few things....
Maybe something to do with forty!! What the heck, maybe the 40th follower (I know, really going out there on that one)...maybe the 40th post...or just maybe in honor of
my 40th!

Another Snowy Day

I'm so lucky...sitting here with my cup of coffee...watching the snow.

I've enjoyed reading the several blogs that I've been following lately. I catch myself wondering ... who am I really sharing this useless information with? Do people really read my blog? I think the best way to figure this out, is to gather some goodies & have my own giveaway. Stay tuned........

A wow day-Today

Ya know...with these headaches that I have been battling, I think I lost myself. I'm a goof-ball at heart & she has come back into my life. Yeehaw!
I'm so grateful for that.
I like me & I like who I am...I'm a kind, caring, would do anything for you type of person. With these headaches, I had become a rude, short-fused type person which I really disliked. Plus with all the changes that have occurred, I was lost. I still have several things to try & figure out, but at least I have the comfort of knowing that I'm a little closer.
Today, I've made peace with the past. Today, I accept myself for who I am. Today, I am myself.
Everything in life that we really accept undergoes a change. - Katherine Mansfield

A day of beauty

These sweet babies belong to a friend. I've been grooming them for awhile now, however with their mommy being so busy, it's been a few months since they've had a day of beauty. The darker faced one is Lilly Ann & the other, is her brother, Briley Bear. They strutted on out of here today feeling so good. It makes me so proud.
Once they went home, I headed out to the antique mall to touch up my booth. WooHoo....sold a drop leaf table & many smaller items just in the last couple days. It's amazing, just when you think you're sales aren't going to cover booth rent...PooF...it's just enough! Last week, I had just agreed to move into a smaller booth. Any who, I'm still going to move. For some reason the booth I'm in, I'm just not feeling it. I struggle with decorating it every time I take something new out. Actually it's a booth that many people have felt the same way. I'm excited....it's just like when I moved in there all over again. My mind's racing, thinking about where this & that will go. Needless to say, I'll keep you posted on my move.
Hoping that today has been a productive one for you, as it's been for me. SMILES
